Platinum IT is a New Zealand company based at I Have A Dream building, 766 Sandringham Rd extn, Mt Roskill, which provides free computer training for the community. We aim to pass our computer knowledge to everyone so that the community is empowered and informed.
Why are the courses free?
We are supported by Lottery Grants Board and Wesley Community Trust so we can provide FREE computer training within the local community. We work within the community, for the community.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself, a pen and some paper (and an open mind to learning)
We have all the computers, software here so you don’t need to bring your own.
We also have free public access days so you can come back and practice or even just to check your emails.
Each course runs for 2.5 hours with a trainer who will explain and show you how to do things and then guide you as you do some exercises.
You can redo the course if you need to, and can take a total of 6 Basic courses or 4 Intermediate courses.
BEGINNERS COMPUTER CLASS
This is a general course which will give you an insight on how to use a computer. It is a 4 day course, with the classes running for 2.5 hours weekly, on either Thursday or and Friday, click here
